Buttercups growing in lush grassland – other meadow flowers are thriving beyond the buttercups and these low growing plants merge with the taller cow parsley in the hedgerow. This is actually a corner of a cultivated field, but thanks to regularly flooding crops always grew poorly. Thje farmer has now left this substantial area of the field to the wisdom of nature, which always knows the most suited “crops”.
