A day of April showers – in May! Everything is about a month later than usual, the camellia is still flowering (although well past it’s best), and the sheltered laburnum close to the house, reflected in this photo, is in full bloom. By now this tree is usually dropping a confetti of yellow petals all over the patio, leaving the more exposed, and slightly later flowering, laburnum at the end of the garden to carry on the task of providing the dominant spring yellows in the garden.
