I popped over to my Dad’s to do a bit of pruning, which entailed wading in amongst ferns growing around the base of some fruit trees. When I first spotted this chap, he was draped over the tip of the fern frond, and together they looked just like a tiny walking stick with a rather fancy handle. In fact at first glance, before bending down, I wondered what I was looking at. I bet he/she would prefer a nice young lettuce.
I once fed a slug like this to my young ducklings and its goo stuck their beaks together!! Serves me right. Big slug, preference the grey ones to the big black ones!!!
