After a lull of a few days there is now an abundance of poppies in the fields behind us - not just at the field edge, but also in the crop. Whatever is growing, the poppies seem to be harvested with the rest of the crop – apparently it can’t affect the price per tonne!
I suppose because these are petalled like rape seed, there is not a herbicide,that can kill it and leave the rape untouched, perhaps that is why we see so many in these fields. I love them and the yellow and red look amazing. This is a super shot
