Our rescue dog Tia cools off during an evening walk. As far as the dogs are concerned a dog “walk” usually involves a series of full speed gallops between interesting smells. The long grass along most of the footpaths at the moment restricts this to a gentle trot, with the trees and mole hills that form the doggy social networking sites all tantalisingly out of reach. On a warm evening like this one the dogs periodically drop down among the cool green stems, onto a refreshing bed of squashed vegetation shaded from the sun. At home cool patio slabs under overarching potted bamboo fronds has the same effect.
Wow, she is gorgeous. Love her colouring. Your description of 'dog' walks sounds very familiar, especially for my youngest. She is very sedate and quiet at home but goes into over drive as soon as we set off and does everything at top speed including barreling into all the other dogs!
