We have no street lights on our Lane, and when we first moved in friends and family visiting after dark would slow down to look for our house, and quickly swerve to the right and onto the drive when they spotted it, much to the consternation of any following driver, particularly those considering an overtaking manoeuvre. We had a couple of close shaves, and so we installed this light on the oak stump in our front garden, visible from the junction at the top of the lane, giving our visitors plenty of time to use the correct mirror, signal and manoeuvre technique in the right order.
The Prunus tree at the behind the light has a particularly vivid display this year, catching my eye in the morning sunshine. @shepherdmanswife tells me that she may be posting a pre-dawn version of this on 365.
