The cow parsley that grows so profusely in the hedgerows during the summer has been reduced to brown insignificant stalks, invisible in front of a backdrop of fading nettles and a defoliated hedge. But on a misty moisty morning the senescent parsley decides to make an effort and puts on jewellery to impress us dog walkers, and any other passers-by who would appreciate some light relief on a grey and dismal morning.
