The ponds in the wildlife area are populated with islands of waterlilies, although at the moment the blooms are still quite small. This was a bit of a rushed image, since I could hear some local dog walkers descending the steps to the pond, and sure enough a few seconds later two large dogs leaped into the pond to cool off, creating waves that rocked the waterlilies. We meet these dog walkers regularly, with their dozen or so dogs, friendly but noisy and boisterous, and Tia can be a bit nervous. We met them on Croft Hill last week, close to our house, and Tia decided that discretion was the better part of valour, and ran home without me. Fortunately this time, close to me, she was relaxed and confident.
How freaky I just finished posting a waterlily and what is on top of my feed -- your waterlily. Mine is pink and fully open. Love the way yours is cupped. You had beautiful sunshine too.
