Catching her breath by shepherdman

Catching her breath

Tia is a very scent-oriented pooch, spending much of her walks with her nose firmly to the ground. We know that she spent her first two or three years as almost a “street dog” in a northern city somewhere, roaming the streets during the day, until rescued by the RSPCA. When she was first introduced to the countryside she would suddenly latch onto a scent and would be off running across the fields, disappearing over the brow of a hill, re-appearing as a spot in the distance. She always came back. Eventually. Nowadays she will still run off after a scent, but not go far before returning to flop down panting at the field edge.
An adorable portrait of Tia :) fav

Getting old isn't fun for dogs or people. But it is always best if you have had a life of love and so have someone to hang close to.
