I took Tia up onto Croft Hill this morning. As we climbed the stile (or at least I did – Tia sensibly used the adjacent dog-gate) the light was “gloaming” that curious light, more usually associated with evenings just after sunset, or in this case before sunrise, when the landscape appears to fluoresce and glow. We stood for a while at the top of the hill as the red sky turned to pink, the colour extending over our heads to the west. I would have like to have seen the sun rise above the horizon, to properly see daybreak, but work was calling, and so we made our way back down the slope as the pink above turned to aquamarine and the new day dawned.
I saw this shot on the popular page and felt compelled to comment. This shot speaks to me on so many levels that I find myself at a loss for words. Beautiful, mesmerizing are just a few! Fav!
