I think that this mornings dog walk coincided with the sun drying the recently mown grass in the "cows field", since, as we walked across the field, tortoiseshell butterflies were rising around our feet, flying in all directions. I thought this one had become caught is a cobweb, but shortly after I photographed it, it flew away from the thistle where it may have spent the night.
