Pied wagtail by shepherdman

Pied wagtail

While @shepherdmanswife was photographing reflections and fisherman at dusk at a small lake near our Welsh cottage, Tia and I sat patiently at a picnic bench on the bank, enjoying the midges. This pied wagtail landed on a mooring post several meters out into the water. Despite only having a general purpose lens, I tried a shot, before the bird flew off, hopefully to consume some of the midges.
Such a nice capture - fav!

Like that the mooring post echoes the colours of the wagtail and the softness of the grasses - great shot.

I like the sense of motion against the very still bird.
