One of our favourite mid-Welsh places is the "cafe in the hills" - not actually that high up, but since you arrive via a long steep and winding lane, and there are fine views of rolling hills in all directions, it seems high in the hills. After a meal there is the option of exploring the extensive dog-friendly gardens, cleverly designed with many individual interconnected gardens full of insect friendly plants. Even I managed a macro-shot.. At the back of the gardens is a hill leading to a zip-wire, and if no-one is around we take it in turns to fly down the slope. We can't be discrete, not with all the shouting and dog-barking.
Lovely composition of the flowers and the bee. Such beautiful colours. I enjoyed the story of your day as well! I can visualise you all whizzing down the zip wire with the dog barking in glee. You have painted a very vivid picture!
Beautiful capture and focus - love the colours.
