Thistle-like Eryngium (with Crocosmia in the background) in our front garden. Three years ago I took advantage of an offer of three Eryngium plants for just the cost of postage. One disappeared after planting (and I can't remember where I put it), one is a poor short specimen, barely tinged with blue thanks to some shading, but this one thrives in a dry and sunny spot. I think I'll move the inadequate individual to join this one for, hopefully, a double display next year
