A sunshine stroll down the village this morning, not exectly mlld, but after recent frosty foggy grey weather, our walk was a pleasure. This silver birch was on the edge of the "Millenium Wood, which itself is on the edge of the busy, where trees planted 17 years ago are still maturing amongst oaks and horse chestnuts that are centuries old. One day this open field, dotted with trees of various ages, will be a "proper" wood.
