Claybrooke Church by shepherdman

Claybrooke Church

A close friend, of over 45 years, who is also a neighbour, had a 60th birthday celebration at a local country hotel last night, and a group if us treated ourselves, stopping at the hotal overnight. Naturally @shepherdmanswife took her camera, and was out before the event trying, without success, to find a pair of buzzards which had been circling ovehead when we arrived. I satisfied myself with this sunset view across the fields to the villages of Claybrooke Parva and Claybrooke Magna, using my little Panasonic canera. Today we learned that one of our neighbours passed away overnight. Mike was one of the oldest members of our community on the Lane, but his loss was unexpected. His "life plan" was to sell his house on retirement to travel during his "sunset years", but he couldn't bring himself to leave his home on the Lane. This image is dedicated to Mike.
Great silhouette shot.

Wonderful choice of landscape feature for the silhouette. It's a stunning view, and I can see why Mike couldn't bring himself to leave.
