@shepherdmanswife and I went for a walk around the Chatsworth area of Derbyshire today. Only 4 miles - the average walking speed with a photographer is only 1mph (equates to about 100 shots per hour). The footpath climbing away from the Chatsworth Estate wasn't clear, and I went ahead to seek out the expected waymarker. Instead I stumbled upon these red deer stags upwind of me and Tia. I'm not sure who was more surprised, me or them. I signalled @shepherdmanswife to join me quietly, and she got a few shots, although naturally had the wrong lens....
Beautiful deer!
