We enjoyed our visit to St David's Cathedral during our South Wales holiday - me for the history, architecture and photo opportunities, and @shepherdmans wife just for the photo opportunities. As a Chapel-going regular I'm afraid that for me it had more the feel of a museum than house of God. No dogs allowed, so we each had to take our turn sitting on the low wall outside, along with the dozen or so other pooches (and owners) also waiting patiently.
Museum? I don't know, but the décor and the architecture are spectacular, as befits a house of god... but, of course, the rudest of cottages can also be home to Him.
