We went for for a stroll up onto the moors behind our cottage, walking up to the highest point for views into the next valley. This chap was one of a few mountain bikers on a bridleway close to the footpath that we were on. Fewer purple heather blooms here - they seem to be blooming in patches only on the highest moors.
