Moth or Butterfly? (sooc)

I had taken lots of photos of the 'usual' white and red admiral butterflies but then found this unusual orange one on a thistle flower. Loved his large eye and the soft colour of his wings.
Best seen large for details if you have time!

@khirsch has kindly informed me that this is a Large Skipper Moth, so now I know!

@mzzhope yes, he wasn't very big and didn't stay long. He would be about 1/3 size of cabbage white, but more sleek looking.

My daughter always says moths are butterflies without makeup. I think it is something to do with how they hold their wings. I have seen these too, really big eyes. This is super
