A rare scene these days. This phone box and old luggage are at Shenton. We took our grandaughters on the steam train that runs from Shenton to Shackerstone via Mkt Bosworth. The train ride was halloween themed so the girls had fun spotting skeletons, graves, bats, cobwebs, spiders etc.
Wonderful! The old telephone kiosks are great and have so much more character than the modern steel and glass ones. The Bluebell Railway (near me) has similar luggage trolleys and suitcases similar to these, one of which is marked "H Houdini"!
What an extraordinary find, not so much the kiosk (which I love) but the luggage! Was it grouped there for a purpose? A film? A great, nostalgic capture.
@tishpics yes it's always at this station as it is like a working museum. The only trains from there are tourist steam train rides so the platform and shop and the train driver are all from bygone years. (Or dressed that way in the case if the driver!)
