On my way to a client's this morning, I saw a river full of geese all frozen in the ice. First time I've ever seen that! I'd heard of it before, but never actually seen it. There were several hundred more than what this photo shows, but this is the best for showing some kind of detail. Not sure what my settings were here that made the results so blurry, but I've chosen the best of the mediocre results I got because this was just too damn funny to let pass. I was able to watch them for just a few minutes and watched as, one by one, their butts would seem to thaw away from the ice, and they would step up, one webbed foot at a time, all nonchalantly, shake off a bit, then walk on as if nothing had happened. Not often we get this kind of deep freeze here, so this was a new experience for this southerner!
Dh has been recommending for some time that I make the move over to the dark side, move away from Windows, and get a Mac. So this new Mac is barely 7 hours old, and this is my first photo processed. Not too bad to have never driven one of these before. I'm sure it helps that I've been using an iPhone for a number of years, otherwise I think I'd be totally lost. And guess what got loaded first - PS and LR! Priorities, ya know.
In our area they discourage feeding the ducks in winter because they don't leave if they are getting food and then when we have a cold spell they end up frozen and they don't get up. So when you said that my heart squeezed for a moment.
