Just had to post the color version of this shot because I fell in love with it here. The minimalist concept that Saxa challenged me to do has intrigued me, and that's what I was playing with here when I set this up. I seriously did not think that putting in b&w would be any good. It kind of blew me away. But this one tugs at my heart strings as well, so I had to share it.
There was a bit of light falloff to the right of the photo that you could see with the eye, but I couldn't get the camera to capture it. The next day I was watching a video on a different topic and the lady mentioned aperture settings, and suddenly I remembered that if I had decreased my shutter speed and adjusted my aperture accordingly, I could have caught that light falloff. DARN!!!!! I've put this broken stem in water and tho the larger flower is fading, there are maybe 5 buds that will hopefully bloom, one of which is already starting to open. I'm hoping they'll hang in there and give me some more opportunity to play with them, especially that light falling off!
Thank you guys so much for putting the b&w on the PP! Your response has taken me by complete surprise and blown me away! I know I'm not nearly as active as I was before the twins came along and turned life on its heels, so your comments and fav's have meant even so much more! THANK YOU!!!
