I believe this is the tallest commercial building in downtown Sharon, Pa. It is a beautiful older building that sits on East State St. and along the Shenango River. Sharon, Pa was once the commercial center of Mercer County. People from neighboring communities traveled to Sharon to do most of their shopping, dining and movie going. At the height of this time Sharon had five movie theaters, all in different parts of the city. Then when the mills began to close and many businesses moved to a neighboring city, Sharon fell on hard times and it hasn't recovered its status.
