I was on my way to camera club last night when the sun was setting, so I tried to get to a vantage point so I could get another sunset photo. By the time I got to one clear of trees the sun had disappeared behind the horizon. I didn't get home until late and I didn't take time to post when I did get home. Thank you all for stopping and having a look!
@kandernob - Thank you very much Karen for your thoughtful words!! The reason that I was able to keep the foreground light was that I did three exposures. One at the camera setting or "normal" exposure, for the scene, one 2 stops overexposed and one 2 stops underexposed. I then use PhotoShop to stack them on top of each other. The overexposed photo brings out the detail in the underexposed in the normal photo and the underexposed tones down the over exposed in the normal photograph.
@kerristephens - Thank to very much Kerri!!
