Erie Extension Canal Lock by skipt07

Erie Extension Canal Lock

Yesterday was miserable. All the snow had melted and then it rained most of the day. So I am using this one as a filler from the day I took the Kayaker's picture. This is a lock that was a part of the Erie Canal System that ran from the Great Lakes to Pittsburgh, Pa from 1840 - 1871. The canal was important to the western Pennsylvania iron industry before the rise of the railroads. The only remaining canal lock still stands in Sharpsville.I took the liberty of processing it in a way to bring out the stones and coloring
Beautiful
