I went out to the Fair today to enter some of my photos for judging. Since they were paving the road I normally take, I did a detour and came upon this older barn that has seen better days, but is still useful for storing hay!

Thank you so much for your very kind comments! Right up the road from this building is a very modern farm. I am surprised they have allowed this building to come to this state of disrepair. Of course that is what gives it a certain beauty.
@lynnb - Thank you for your kind comments and the Fav Lynn!
@jsw0109 - Thank you Jeff! There are many barns in this area that are being used but little signs of maintenance. I wonder if they have ever been painted. It's like they build them an let them go until they have to start replacing the siding with new. Not too far from me I kept tabs on some Amish completely residing an Englishman's barn and painting it. I figure they got a lot of money from shale oil drilling rights and are refurbishing the barn and house.
@jsw0109 - The same with this Jeff. While it took about a week, you didn't see any high tech trucks cranes or nothing. Well, except for a cherry picker they rented to paint the barn.
@calm - I thought so too Cathy! Thank you for your comments!
