Glads remind me of my grandfather... he grew them in his flower garden, which was literally a garden for cutting flowers. He furnished the flowers for his church as long as I can remember. He kept poinsettias in his basement from Christmas to Christmas until they got too big to get up the stairs... sorry for rambling! Love the dark background to highlight that beautiful color!

I shot these in the dining room. The late afternoon sun was the only illumination. The dark back ground is actually the door to a closet which appears black because of the intense light on the flowers.
@lynnb - Yes they are beautiful! We used to plant them around our garden, but then we quit gardening some years ago and we haven't enjoyed them since! At least now in our own garden,
