A Time To Plant and a Time To Uproot

Ecclesiastes 3 - A season for every activity under the heavens
This 70-80 foot Blue Spruce was right on the edge of our property. It lived here when we bought the house, but of course not as tall. It was dying and we were concerned that a storm could bring it down. So we had a tree trimmer come in and remove it stump and all.
Sad to see an old tree come down - but necessary. Did you plant one in its place.

@kathiecb - Not yet. I called to see if it was too late to plant a tree with winter coming and they told me, "no as long as it is done properly." Whatever that means. We talked about planting either a dogwood or a Kousa dogwood

Better to take it down than have it fall.

I see, we did use the same verse...too bad about the tree, but yes, sometimes it is needed. think what would have happened if it fell and took out all of the others by it. not to mention any homes or cars
