I looked out at our Red Crabapple tree this morning to find 10-15 robins devouring crabapples. Either they have lost their minds and came back too soon or nice weather is just around the corner. Hopefully!
@luvmynynix - Thank you so much! My daughter seems to be having more "good" days as time passes. She put my son-in-laws car up for sale and a young man came on Tuesday and agreed to buy for the price she was asking! That was bitter sweet for her! My little granddaughter seems to be having more questions and misses her dad. Thank you for asking!
We keep robins around all year...usually. I am in Atlanta, GA. But I realize not this winter..I have not seen any robins for a while...it has been a cold one for us. Congrats on the PP! I love the soft focus/blur and what a cool position he is in. Very unique. fav
Beautiful shot Skip! Congrats on the PP!
Read about your daughter and grand daughter... somewhere in my mind I think about you and your family. Take care.
@espyetta - I guess we have a small connection in that when I was in the Army I was stationed in Augusta at Ft Gordon for Military Police training. It was during the months of January, February and March. Our barracks were built back during the Second World War and they weren't insulated. You could actually look through the cracks in the walls and see outside! They were heated with coal furnaces and there was a week where it was bitterly cold. No snow just below freezing temps. The pipe going from the furnace to the chimney was red hot trying to heat the building. I am surprised we didn't burn one of them buildings down! It was so cold that the water in the toilets froze and one of the toilet tanks broke from the frozen water. When we went to bed we slept with our clothes on and we covered up with both of our wool blankets, our overcoats on top of that, our ponchos on top of that and we still froze. Aw fond memories! :)

Thank you my friends for your continued support, encouraging comments and favs! I don't think spring is going to arrive in the next couple of days. Tonight we are under a winter weather advisory with a chance of 3 - 6 inches (7.5 - 15.25 cm) of snow. But they are also calling for temps to get to 46F (8C) on Thursday with rain. If all this snow melts quickly we are going to be seeing some flooding like the poor UK!
I hope it is spring coming...this winter has been a stinker.
On a totally separate note, just thinking about your daughter and granddaughter...hope they are doing OK!

Wow another caught me off guard with the very unexpected response! Thank you all so very much for your gracious comments, good wishes, favs and thoughts for my family and me!
I think a American Robins look grumpy Judith no mater what their circumstances :)
With the rough winter the south has been experiencing this year MaryBeth, maybe they decided they might as well return to the north! :)
