During my walk along the lake, I spotted this solitary tent of an ice fisherman. It looked lonely out there all by itself but I liked the splash of blue with all the snow covered ice.
I live near a lake and this seems so scary to me.Nit only the ice fishing but all terrain vehicles on the lake.this is a great shot! Really captures a mood.
@mzzhope - Thanks for stopping an commenting Hope!
@danette - It wasn't too bad when I started my walk. But as I got closer to the tent either the wind began to pick up or the shoreline didn't block the wind as much and my hands were getting pretty cold.
@amandal - What gives you an eerie feeling is as I walked along the shore, every now and then you can hear the ice kind of groaning. I think it would take me a good while to have faith that the ice is going to hold me. I saw in places along the shore where the ice has cracked that it was a good 3 inches thick.
Yeah, maybe not then. I've never been out on ice. But falling through ice is a fear of mine that I've had my whole life (even when growing up in FL). Yikes. The groaning and cracking...no thanks.
@lynnb - Thank you Lynn! It is a sound of its own!
@amandal - If you decide to go ice fishing make sure you go out with somebody that knows what they are doing. I am sure they will know the conditions of the ice and whether it is thick enough.
@siwainastromoy - When I started walking is was around 2:00. But when the sun stared going down and the wind started it got cold.
