I got home this afternoon and noticed the chickadees still visiting the feeder. I put my 55-250mm lens on, stood 10 feet from the feeder and waited for them to come and partake of the black oil sunflower seeds. It was another overcast day so I was working in low light conditions again.
Cute little birds, I see them occasionally but usually my feeder is overrun with sparrows and the chickadees seem to take off when the flocks of sparrows descend. Overcast days make it really hard when you are shooting telephoto.
@paulam - Thank you Paula for your lovely comment!
@denisedaly - You ar every kind Denise! Thank you!
@mittens - Thank you Marilyn
! @gardencat - We have a few sparrows. It was pleasantly odd because there were only the three chickadees coming to the feeder while I was standing there. But chickadees don't seem to be as bothered about people being close to them.
@lynnb - They do have that effect on people! They are my favorite small bird.
