gave proof through the night,
That our flag was still there. . .
We went to the fireworks show this evening and I took my camera after all. It was a beautiful night, cool temperatures and no storms moving in like the last two years.
@vickisfotos - For a second there I thought I had a new follower. I am so use to your bright red top on you former profile picture. I do like your new one Vicki! Thank you for your kind comments!
@princessliz - Thank you Joan! Sometimes you can follow the comet tail as the shell is going up and time it. Mostly it was trial and error on the timing. Thank you for the comment!
@danette - It was. As I mentioned in the commentary, that last two years storms were moving in so they shot them off early and fast so people could make it back to their cars and get headed home before the storms hit. It rained during the first half of the day which dropped the temperature and humidity. I actually wore my hoody!
@taffy - Thank you Taffy. I watched James Beltz , "How To Shoot Fireworks" video on You Tube. He suggested using f5.6 at 1 second at ISO 400 on the manual setting. I started there but changed to f5.6 1.3 second and ISO 200. They started shooting early and there was still some light in the sky which made it appear a light blue instead of black. Thank you for your comment!
@kwind - Thank you so much Kim! I like yours over the water. They shoot these near a lake. Maybe next year I will try a different location and see if I can get some of the reflections off the water.
@pyrrhula - Thank you so much! I appreciate your comments!
@kerristephens - Thank you Kerri!
