than any of the wild animals the LORD God had made. He said to the woman, "Did God really say, 'You must not eat from any tree in the garden'?" ~ Genesis 3:1
While visiting Florida we came upon this serpent just hanging out in a tree near a swimming pond. Made me think of Eve's temptation. A filler.
I like this shot. The snake is clear enough, if you really look, but not so obvious that he pops out at you right away. seems to mirror my reflection of snakes in real life where you are often almost on top of them before you notice.
@gardencat - Thank you Joanne! We don't have any snakes this size where we live, thank goodness! While there are Timber Rattlesnakes more towards the east of us, I've never seen one and don't know how big they get. Garter snakes are big enough for me. When I was in Southeast Asia one night I saw a very long snake around 8-10 feet crawl under a double fence. Some kind of python or boa I guess. I am glad it wasn't interested in me and kept going!

@maggiemae - Maybe I should have Photo-shopped an apple into the tree.
@icamera - I had my 55-250 mm lens set to 171 mm. So I kept my distance.
