Stragglers by skipt07

Stragglers

While many of the trees in our area have lost their leaves, you can still find a tree here and there with some colorful Fall foliage.
Isn't it fun to still see trees with some color!. Fall colors are happy colors. Maybe that's why I love fall. Just thought of that recently.

Thank you all very much for you kind comments and favs. As I mentioned in the description, the leaves are really coming of the trees now and that is one of the reasons I have been falling behind on my commenting. Raking up leaves at my house and my daughter's. We worked on hers on Tuesday. Her house has a lot of trees. I got to do the gutters and we both worked on the ones on the ground. The next day the muscles in my legs reminded me that I am not as young as I use to be.

There's always a few trees that hang on to their leaves until AFTER you've done the raking. :) I have one new maple in my yard that is just now beginning its fall show while most of the others have finished their performance for the year.

@mzzhope - Thank you Hope! I'm a melancholy man, that's what I am.

@pyrrhula - Thank you! It sounds like you are a very patient man to build model boats!

@libertylady - Thank you so much Alice!

@vickisfotos - I know and I don't like it a bit! In my head I keep thinking I am still a kid and my body says, " Oh no you're not!"

@lyndemc - My neighbor has two maples on the edge of our property line. He lets them all fall before he rakes them up. Which means a lot of them end up blowing into my yard. Last year I believe he left them lay throughout the winter and they rotted away.

@denisefuller - Thank you very much Denise!

This has definitely been the year, at least here in Arkansas, to focus in on individual trees - somehow we missed out on the fall colorful vistas, but have had some really pretty trees like this one. Nice shot.

exactly what mine keeps telling me! But I am working hard at ignoring it!

@skipt07 Let's hope this year the neighbor feels all energetic about raking his leaves up in a timely manner. For your sake.

@soboy5 - Thank you very much Danny!

@flyrobin - Thank you Robyn!

@milaniet - That has been the story here too for the past two years. I must admit that this year has been better with the vistas.

@vickisfotos - Thank goodness for extra strength Tylenol to help with ignoring it!

@lyndemc - The neighbor graduated from high school with our oldest daughter. Over the years that they have lived next door, he has used his riding lawn mower to get rid of the leaves. But like I said earlier, last year they were ignored and he hasn't touched them this year either. But there is always hope!
