I took a walk today. It has been too long since I last walked. The first thing I noticed when I got out of my car was the smell of blacktop sealer. As I walked I watched for interesting things to photograph. One were these seeds that were laying on the newly sealed path which offered a great background. I did use PhotoShop to take out the texture of the blacktop.
so beautiful! Love the colours! You have some really stunning shots in your albums recently... specially loved the praying mantis, and slow-shutter small waterfall! :)
@monkeykid - Thank you Therese for your very kind comments! I hope things are going well for you and your sisters! I miss your inspiring and challenging photos!
@icamera - :-) Thank you. I can only take credit for the find. The colors ween't my doing. I thought these seeds dropped in the spring and usually when they fly they are usually all a drab brown. I was surprised to see the colors.
@paulaw - Thank you Paula for you beautiful comment! I only wish now I would have cropped it a little and maybe turned the seed a slightly counter-clockwise.
@lyndemc - Thank you for your analysis Denise! I think this could easily have been a bird's feather with the intricate veins.

Thank you all for taking the time to view, your awesome comments, sprinkled with your favs! I was surprised to see these on the ground. I thought these were normally dropped in the Spring!
