My wife made an Advent calendar for our granddaughter. One of the days was my taking her out to eat. With family coming in unexpectedly our day out was postponed until after Christmas. It turned into a sleep over. I half expected her to say that she missed her Mom and would want to go home after breakfast. But that didn't happen! We had breakfast and went back home to watch movies until the temperature rose from 4℉ to 10℉.
We were out until she said her toes were cold. I hope she had fun with Papa because Papa had fun with her!

She is such a blessing. We get to spoil her since we didn't have the chance to spoil the other three. Besides, the cold didn't bother me anyway! :-)
Skip, I like the cold too. Just getting older and not so willing to plow through the snow. It was a crusted over snow and the made me nervous about slipping. So keep getting out there and enjoying it with your children. I always enjoyed with my niece and nephews and their children. Just having trouble getting out their for their grand kids. Getting old isn't all fun.
Sweet story and I am so sure she loved every minute of it. Love the snow angel..gosh does that bring back fun memories.Love colors she is wearing for this shot!

Cute shot papa!
@_catherine_ - Thank you Catherine!
@joansmor - I have always coped with the cold more so than heat. I also use to be a lineman so I worked in some pretty cold weather.
@radiogirl - Thank you Kathy! I think she was having fun!
@kareenking - I guess you would have lots of snow to make snow angels in Minnesota!
@thistle - Thank you Joyce. We did!
@sbolden- I know exactly what you are talking about Scott!
