After a few days of warmer weather that melted all the snow we were hit with 8 or 9 inches of snow. Thank goodness I had bought a snowblower last year to clear our driveway. This is our Amish neighbor's lane. He shoveled two paths so that cars could make it up to the house. The lane is at least 300 feet long which means he did 600 feet of shoveling. I could have done it for him except my snowblower is electric.
@olivetreeann - My extension cord wouldn't reach that far. Another neighbor, a dairy farmer, used to plow the lane and my driveway. His son stopped doing that years ago. I shoveled my driveway, but my back can't take it anymore. He has a tractor that is used primarily for power to fill his silo, that he could drag a timber and clear it, but for some reason, he doesn't do it. They can easily get in and out with their horse and buggy. It the drivers they hire that can't make it in the deep snow.
