A strong winter storm made its way across the US after a warming trend at the beginning of the week. Friday rain changed to sleet and freezing rain and then to snow. Our area went from bare ground and rain in the morning to 8-9 inches of snow starting around 5 pm. Today the sun came out and blue skies were a welcome sight in spite of the temps in the teens.
Three good things:
1. We survived the storm.
2. I am glad I purchased a snowblower last year as it came in handy today clearing my and our daughter's driveways.
3. We didn't get the nasty stuff they said we could get today!
@777margo - It was really cold. What made it seem worse was going from, well I happened to notice the car thermometer read 64 (18 C) during the day down to 17 (-8 C) in less than a 24 hour period.
