Evening Modeling Session by stray_shooter

Evening Modeling Session

We got to make our attempts at a little modeling session this evening in my photo class. I asked her to give me her best "sultry" look. She is not a professional model at all, but I think she could make a go of it.
Very nice portrait Ron! she has done a very good job of it and so have you! well done

Lovely portrait of the model, love the defused background, difficult subject to take at night with artificial lighting, great shot Ron;)

Great portrait Ron. I tried to get my wife to pose also but she is a bit shy.

@dianeburns Thanks, Diane. My first time working with a model in such a situation. She was very good and fun to work with. I could get used to this!

@pcoulson Trust me, it was a shoot filled with errors and adjustments. Even our teacher was a bit out of sorts. We began with diffusers on the flash, but learned that in an evening situation like this, removing the diffuser and zooming with the flash was a much better alternative. I've got ten bad shots for every good shot from this shoot. A teaching moment, for sure.

@simta усалки действительно! Смешные! Я на самом деле есть некоторые выстрел, где она полулежал на пляже, и я помню, думая что она на самом деле выглядели как Русалка.

@cjphoto Thanks, Chris - I don't know how she was able to keep from blinking!
@terryliv Thanks, Poppo - maybe if you dressed the wife up to look like a bird she'd be more willing?

Good balance of the ambient with the speedlight.

@stray_shooter Ummm I think you missed the subtlety of the word "also" thrown in here. The inference was that the model was your wife. Don't you hate it when a killer line misses the mark :-(
