Fleur de lis by stray_shooter

Fleur de lis

I was going to try to Photoshop the spider web out, but then decided to go with a little more realism.
I love all things "fleur-de-lis" and I love the simplicity of this statement piece with the beautiful stained-glass colors behind it. Amazing, isn't it, how often the little wisps of spiderweb are found clinging when we come in close for a picture!

Beautiful detailed image Ron, love the bokeh background fleur-de-lis really standing out, did the right thing with the spider web:)

I like this one. The bokeh of course makes it a winner but after tearing my eyes away from that part, the texture of the metal, the simplicity of the shot end up winning points as well. Fav!

@Weezilou That's one of the most fun things about taking pictures in my mind - the things you see after you capture the image. I honestly wasn't too thrilled at the end of the shoot, but a few days later when I went through the images I realized that there were little hidden treasures in virtually all of the shots. Keeps me going and carrying on with the 365 mission!

@pcoulson Thanks for the encouragement, Peter. I guess there's something about the imperfection that adds character.

@lyndemc Yeah, I knew you'd like the dirt and rust. I just threw in the bokeh to see if you'd notice. ;-)
