I posted a picture of this fountain earlier, but the content was completely different. I liked the way the water stream picked up the blue color from water in the basin.
PS...noticed the camera you used... I'm open for any tips...the Fuji went back (WAY TOO touchy...drove me nuts...short trip!) This FZ70 is laid out a lot like my small Nikon and I think I'll love it! Having trouble with the RAW images not opening in PS, but no matter...just took pix around the yard this evening. Think I found "The One" this time!
Fantastic shot Ron How on earth did you manage this degree of sharpness focusing on moving water, looks like a glass sculpture, love the depth of field and blur in the background Fav:)
@Weezilou@gilbertwood@terryliv@wordpixman@pjtphoto@888rachel@dianeburns Thanks to you all for the kind comments. I enjoy observing this fountain, but as is so often the case when taking photos you see so many things that differ from the naked eye. One of the things I really enjoy about photography!
@pcoulson Practice, my friend, practice! ;-) I can assure you that there are plenty of duds that did not focus quite so well. I have to give considerable credit to the Lumix FZ200, which continues to amaze with the abilities that it has. Thanks much indeed for the generous compliments Peter.
I call my camera "my third eye" because I see more, more clearly, when it's in my hand, but always remember that it's not the camera that makes a picture, but the mind behind the finger on the button. Timing is key. In single shot plate camera days we used to call it "the decisive moment" but there's no shame in using modern technology to produce a range of images from which only the mind has the capacity to chose which is best
