Birdie Hole by stray_shooter

Birdie Hole

This egret seems to have claimed the 18th hole as his own. The wider view of the 18th hole can be seen in today's overflow picture at http://365project.org/stray_shooter/365/2014-06-17

Great pic, Ron! Amazing how close you got. Telephoto lens?? or just an egret who was paying more attention to what he could catch for dinner? Fav for me. (Love the sparkles on the water.)

lol about the "forced contact" ending up being a good thing for the b&w hand holding image.

@pcoulson @gilbertwood @terryliv OK, now it can be told. The sparkles are actually little scraps of something. Flower bits, I think. Sufficiently blurred, they kind of resemble sparkly water thingies. Sometimes I wonder why I admit these things.!

@lyndemc Sort of a telephoto. I was using the little Lumix, which has a 30X zoom. But I was able to get fairly close, too. He was strutting around the perimeter of the water, intent on grabbing some snacks and allowed me to get reasonable close. He's probably pretty tame being pretty much a resident of the course. Not my true confession above on the "sparkles." I feel nothing but shame. Ah, not really. ;-)
