May the Bird of Paradise Fly Up Your Nose

They're in bloom! That line is from a song that Little Jimmy Dickens wrote and sang long ago. My salute to the man, who left the planet just last week.
Fantastic!

Stunning colors against that amazing blue sky. The song title fits this perfectly. JD would be honored by your picture and mention of his name.

@kauaikris @pcoulson @clake Thanks so much, Kristina, Peter, Caroline. Looking like a turkey on the lawn of my office, lying prone and trying to frame the flower against the sky turned out to be worth it after all!

@lyndemc Thanks Denise - you obviously knew of Little Jimmy. That record came out when I was a little kid and I just thought it was hilarious. I still have the 45!

That orange and blue were destined to be paired! Gorgeous! I recall the song quite well...and the name, too...was he a one-hit wonder?

@Weezilou As far as Top 40 goes, I guess he'd be considered a one hitter, but as I understand it he was a regular forever at the Grand Ol' Opry. In fact I learned he had performed there in his 90's just days before he passed!
