OK, you all behaved yourselves very nicely, so here is Lady King's mate. The first time Poppo called me to try and capture this guy he immediately took flight as I raised my camera. He probably didn't know what to think of a "bikey" trying to take his picture. But patience was rewarded when the pair returned not only two mornings later, but both in the morning and afternoon. Incredibly large and beautiful birds.
@pamknowler Thank you Pam - I was quite lucky that the king parrots came to visit on multiple occasions. I was worried that my chances had passed when they first fled.
Exquisite! I want to go through all your photos, but I have to be up early to make a big breakfast for our guests, so regretfully am stepping away. Hey...maybe I could post a photo! What a novel idea!
