Flamingo Friday - 017 by stray_shooter

Flamingo Friday - 017

Way late on the Flamingo Friday posting, but wanted to get it in in honor of the holiday relevance. My Christmas flamingo stands guard in the front yard every year at holiday time. Not the greatest shot and not the greatest subject, but sometimes on Flamingo Friday you don't have the luxuries you'd like.
oh, goodie! there is a Christmas flamingo??? i want one! :-D

Interesting fun capture, had to study it long and hard to determine if it was covered in natural ice crystals considering your location suspect possibly not, Hope you had a great Christmas Ron I wish you a happy and prosperous 2017:)

He is so cute! What is the little guy made of?

He is gorgeous. Frosty the flamingo sounds totally different to frosty the snowman doesn't it.

That is one sad looking flamingo. Looks like you hog tied him to the post. Poor thing.......

@summerfield @pcoulson @maggiemae @salza @gilbertwood @aglennc @onewing Another regrettable - and late - thanks for the kind comments. This guy is one of my three Christmas lawn ornaments (the other two are pigs) that I put out every year, just to irritate the neighbors. ;-) His "frosty crystals" are simply plastic pieces glued to a polyester type material. I'm glad you enjoyed him!

@joysfocus Actually it was a neighbor who did that, and several years ago. His intended support leg was just too flimsy, and while I was gone on another one of those trips he was all crumbled on the ground after heavy winds. Now the only way I can get him to stand up is to zip tie him to a post that I have to drive into the ground. So much work! But he's worth it!

Your stories of the Christmas livestock are delightful!
