I thought I'd kick off 2017 with one of my favorite subjects, a tiger. To me they are nature's most beautiful animal. Check it out on black - the stripes really pop.
@aglennc He WAS coming at me - then veered off. I'm always felt somewhat sorry for this guy. He's at the San Diego zoo and he paces constantly, which I understand is a sign of stress. The SD zoo is an amazing place for providing as close to a natural habitat as possible, but it doesn't seem to make this guy all that happy.
@Weezilou Thanks Louise. This guy is at the San Diego zoo. Funny story - I was intending to head to Wild Animal Park, intending to stock up on flamingo photos, but missed the turn off the 5. By the time I realized it I was closer to the zoo than WAP, so zoo it was! A true advantage to have a membership. ;-) Hope you're feeling better and a huge wish for a Happy New Year to you as well.
@stray_shooter feeling more improved today, thank you. Our friend, Joy @joysfocus sent me the most delightful get-well card today, I've spent all afternoon thinking of how I can turn it into a photo shoot! I'm determined to turn this into a healthier New Year, so thanks...I'll bank that!

@stray_shooter Wonder if they brought him up to Safari Park if he would cease the constant pacing. I feel sorry to him too....... Hey, next time you want to stock up on flamingo shots at Safari Park (WAP), let us know. We'll meet you there. We are eight miles away.
