Beach photography - as opposed to street photography. And some Good Vibrations came to mind. From the Friday night get-together with Ken and Louise, @Weezilou, in San Clemente. This gal was simply sitting watching the ocean and presumedly taking in another beautiful sunset. Her solitary state and the glow on her hair made for a photo that just had to be taken.
What I learned in taking this photo: Opportunities present themselves when you stop and observe what's around you - something I don't do often enough.
I love the golden glow of that light! I think you are right sometimes we just need to stop and look around us and I have found it helps to look behind you! You never know what you are missing! Fav!
You are absolutely right opportunities crop up all the time pays to have a camera handy, this is a prim example, lovely perspective, wonderful light, detail and background, superb capture Ron:)
Awesome Ron, just awesome!!
the light is spectacular and so is your depiction of it. although she is wearing sunnies it appears her eyes are closed, or nearly so.. she is wrapped (loosely) in her blanket suggesting she intends staying for a while - maybe meditating.. it also appears that she is very comfortable/easy where she is - her bag is behind her.. the shallow DoF has thrown everything else into a soft fuzziness which accentuates her.. the textures in the sand really stand out proud too.. loving the colours in the water..
a truly inspiring and beautiful image..
@maggiemae Very observant of you. She certainly didn't have a happy go lucky feel about her. Made for a good photo though! Thanks for coming by to comment.
I think this is my favourite of all your photos I have seen so far - it is the most real in my opinion (though all your photos are 'real') This one is so natural and just speaks to me somehow.
It's a FAV!
