I wasn't able to get out today so to the archives it is. I posted a shot of Dana Point from this same vantage point last month, but that version was looking off to the north while this one is aimed more toward the south. It's evidently a pretty calm sea as this was a 30 second exposure and there is pretty much zero movement among the boats and within the water.
Super perspective with gorgeous detail, light and colour from your long exposure, I agree there is not a hint of movement Ron, looks great against black, its not hit the Popular Page yet but give it time, Fav:)
@stray_shooter love all your images and since we are partnered this week on the Get-Pushed-Challenge I had to really think on what would be different so my idea for you is a "silhouette"...have no doubt you will knock it out of the park....
@jorlam Ah, yes, the blue hour, which closely follows the golden hour. I love shooting during this time frame. Until I took my classes, which meet in the evening and thus we are pretty much stuck with such situations, I was not aware just how much light is available post sundown. Thanks as always for your generous observations. :-)
@pcoulson Well, you must be a savant Peter, for it did indeed make the PP.....two time is fact! (though the first appearance was all of 15 minutes in length). Thank you for your observant comments.
@louannwarren Thanks Lou Ann. And I agree. As I mentioned to Jorlam above it's really amazing how much light the camera is able to gather when the human eye doesn't sense light. I love that time too.
@Weezilou Thanks Louise, but truth be told, this image was captured several days ago when I was attending my "class." You probably think I'm running all over So Cal, but in reality.....well, yes, I guess I am running all over So Cal. Sometimes it's for photos!
It IS gorgeous, Ron...though perhaps you've been visiting all the highlights around Southern California the last few days!
