An Evening Walk for the Family

Five week old Egyptian geese were being watched over by mama and papa. They were surprisingly tolerant of the photographer invading their territory. Getting chased down by an angry goose can be terrifying........or so I hear. ;)
What beautiful markings the adults have. I think they are watching you closely! Lovely capture! Fav!

Have you been tracking these geese since birth? 5 weeks old? That's pretty specific! We seem to have come upon one another in the middle of the night...I was beginning to think you've been out of town!

@pamknowler You bet they were watching me Pam! Although they are protective parents it was surprising how close they allowed us to get (I was with two others on a photo expedition). Or was it those eyes that follow you throughout the room? ;) Thanks for your comments.

@pcoulson Thanks Peter. I had better pictures to choose from, but I couldn't resist the accents provided by the colourful flowers and sunlight. Always appreciate your feedback!

@Weezilou The lady in the wild hat informed us that these guys were five weeks old. Seems like she had reasonable credibility. Yeah, I've been inattentive regarding my 365 activities lately. Real busy with other things, but the next month or so is looking pretty good. Looking at hitting the butterfly jungle next week if you're interested.
